Junkstock: Harvest Edition 2021 Vendor Highlight

If you read my previous post about Junkstock, you’ll know it’s one of my favorite local festivals in the Omaha area. I think we’ve attended every one since fall 2019!

There are so many incredible vendors and talented makers at Junkstock, and over time I have discovered there are several makers that I always look forward to seeing.

I wish I could afford to purchase something every time from everyone. But alas, my eyes are much bigger than my wallet, so instead I thought I would highlight a few of my favorite businesses. I’ve either purchased from them previously or I admire their products and hope to purchase from them someday.

If you see an interesting vendor, go check them out at Junkstock this weekend Oct. 8-10!

My Junkstock: Harvest Edition 2021 Vendor Highlight

The Anastasia Co. - home goods & stationery studio. Owned and created by a sweet woman named Jillian who also loves coffee + Jesus! I have several of her prints, greeting cards, and a coffee mug, of course. Love her design style and she has such a fun variety of products.

Fat Head Honey - local raw Nebraska honey. This is my favorite local honey, and they offer a selection of creamed and infused honeys in addition to their classic raw honey. I love to use their vanilla infused honey on fresh fruit and in my coffee. I put their creamed honey on toasted brioche, and eat a spoonful by itself if my throat is dry. I use their raw honey as my “everyday” honey for cooking and drizzling on peanut butter banana toast. This year I added lavender infused honey and cinnamon infused honey to our collection, and I can’t wait to try them out!

Our Lavender Co. - local lavender farm with a focus on simple & clean products. After discovering them at the Junkstock Spring Edition 2021, we went to visit their farm in Big Springs, NE over the summer and received the warmest welcome—such a lovely and kind family, and they make the most beautiful lavender products. My husband Josh uses their lavender oil roll-on for bug bites, and I used their lavender shower melts to relax and rejuvenate after difficult stay-at-home-mom days during Josh’s last deployment. They have recently added lip balms, body butter, and sugar scrub to their product lineup, which so far have been excellent.

Faded Plains - small batch, natural home + body goods. Their soaps smell wonderful and their lip balms are very popular. I love their natural aesthetic and currently obsessed with the “Grey” scented soap. I’m planning to put one in my husband’s Christmas stocking… shh…

Sunshine Blvd Handmade - hand-sewn dolls, felt pretend food, and accessories. My daughter has a doll, bracelet, and some felt foods for her pretend kitchen. Her doll goes with her everywhere. I especially love all the felt food sets—we have the sushi, sugar cookies, and macarons. These have all been quite durable and have been able to handle playtime with my kids!

Four Blessings Jewelry - handmade earrings. I have a couple pairs of leather earrings and they’re incredibly lightweight! I love wearing them even around my toddler and baby, who tend to grab at my jewelry.

Ember Grove - hand-poured soy wax candles. The “white birch” scent was one of my favorites at Christmas time last year, and I really enjoy the Ember Grove scents. They share a booth with Magnolia Events & Creations, and it’s always one of the most beautiful displays!

Darling Daylight - hand stamped jewelry that’s tarnish resistant and good for sensitive skin. I’m in love with their delicate necklaces, and I’m putting it on my Christmas wish list!

Earth Clay - clay sculpture jewelry and art. This is such a unique and talented maker, and I’m in awe of her tiny clay sculptures of national parks, flowers, animals, and more, all on necklace pendants. Her wall art is so impressive and beautiful as well. I’ve admired this shop for a long time!

Tori Denae Art - an artist based in rural Nebraska, and captures agrarian life through her paintings. Her work is beautiful and one of my favorite fine artists at Junkstock. Another shop that I’ve admired for awhile, and always enjoy stopping by her display.
